Our Beliefs

The Church

We believe that the church is an independent group of believers in Christ who have been baptized into Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins ( Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4).

Our Purpose

We are committed to living by faith in Christ. Our purpose together is to teach and encourage one another in the Christian life and to accomplish the work Christ gives to His church. We have an earnest desire to come to a full understanding of the teaching of Christ ( Ephesians 4:13-16).

Christ's Lordship

We belong to Christ. We believe and openly acknowledge that Jesus is Lord ( Philippians 2:9-11). We believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father, the only way to heaven itself ( John 14:6). We believe that Jesus is the only source of salvation from sin ( Acts 4:12).

Christ's Authority

We believe that Jesus built His church ( Matthew 16:18). We believe Christ is the head of the Church ( Colossians 1:18) and he now rules in heaven as King and High Priest ( Acts 2:22-36; Hebrews 7:23-28).

Benevolence

The church of Christ Moula-ali cares for its own members and other needy Christians ( Galatians 6:1-3; 1 Corinthians 16:1,2). The members are taught to care for the needs of their own families so the church is not burdened ( Galatians 6:1; James 1:27). Individual Christians are encouraged to participate in all good works as ability and opportunity arises ( Galatians 6:1; James 1:27). We believe the church benevolence is limited to saints only.

Evangelism

We believe that the church should engage in evangelism. Therefore we financially support five gospel preachers. We conduct gospel meetings from time to time.

Christ's Return

We believe that Jesus will one day return to judge all men, and usher in eternal life for his people ( 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:3-12).
